Helicopter Logging & Transport Long-Line with Electrical Cargo Hook Release

PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION
The electrical Logging & Transport Long-Line stands for highest performance. It is proved in 2’000 h of transport without maintenance required! Its excellent aerodynamic characteristics avoid tail rotor contact in fast flights. Apart from lifting purposes, it also acts as protection for ground personnel from down wash and provides the necessary distance from obstacles.
We recommend to add the Damper (VM-DP_14) between the Helicopter and the rope for shock absorbing reasons. The rope end is attached to the Cone Type 1200.
In order to release a secondary cargo hook, a transmission cable (Helicopter side) for the electric impulse is needed (usually < 16 Amps /< 28 V)

Swivel Type 4500

PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION
Fixed on top of the cargo hook, the Swivel Type 4500 functions as the connection to the Cone Type 4500 (endpiece of longline) and allows the load to rotate in order to prevent the longline from damage. It is suitable for helicopters up to a maximum 5’000 kg (11’000 lb) load capacity.

Purpose / Description
More than 3’000 hours of operation with no unintended openings confirm the LH-60 the most reliable lower cargo hook on the market. The LH-50 is based on the same concept but specifically designed for loads up to 5’000 kg (11’020 lb). Together with the LH-60 and LH-20 the LH-50 is the world’s first single cargo hook with EC type examination, designed for pilot induced openings only. Furthermore, the high intensity light fastened on top of the hook allows the pilot to see if the hook is open or closed.
Thus, the LH-50 will increase safety and reliability – the main factors in a demanding helicopter sling load market.
Cone Type 4500

PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION
The «Cone Type 4500» is fixed firmly to the long line and functions primarily as the end piece of the long line and secondly as the housing of the counterpart to the «Swivel Type 4500», which is attached to the cargo hook. The two color design (yellow/red) allows easy recognition of proper function of the Swivel. It is suitable for helicopters up to a maximum 5’000 kg (11’000 lb) load capacity.

The «Cone Type 1200» is fixed firmly to the long line and functions primarily as the end piece of the long line and secondly as the housing of the counterpart to the «Swivel Type 1200», which is attached to the cargo hook.
